MAC's Quite Cute Review & Swatches

DISCLAIMER: I did not receive these products for free they were not sent to me. I purchased all products on my own and these are MY honest OPINION about the products.

The MAC Quite Cute Collection, is very cute indeed. I was a lot more impressed with this collection then with a few others that have recently came out with MAC. These colors and shades that are available with this collection are very pastel and would much better appear on cooler skin tones, not that people with warmer tones can not wear them, it is just much more flattering to cooler skin tones. From this collection i had purchases 3 Plush Glasses in: Bubble Tea, Girl <3 Boy, & Fashion Fanatic, 2 Mineralized Blushes in: Sakura & Giggly. 2 Lipsticks in: Playing Koi & Candy Yum Yum. All 3 Nail Lacquers in: Ice Cream Cake, Little Girl Type & Mischievous Mint & last but not least the cutie eyeshadow quad.

PLUSHGLASS (in order): Girl <3 Boy, Fashion Fanatic & Bubble Tea
GRADE: B-
These are pretty much lipgloss lol. They are formulated as a lip plumper and give a tingling feeling once you apply them to your lips, but that just means its working. A lot of people were saying they formula was really strong and almost un-wearable. I didnt have a reaction like that. my lips didn't have such an intense reaction as others they didn't plump as much as i thought they would but there was a subtle difference. They are sheer and aren't really opaque. they would look better over a lipstick or filled in lip to enhance a color.

MINERALIZED BLUSH: SAKURA & GIGGLY
GRADE: A-
These blushes look adorable, the little heart in the center definitely gives it that cuteness. Because these blushes are mineralized they do have a high glow to them. kind of like a velux pearl eyeshadow. My Favorite of the 2 I purchased is the Sakura(purple), it absolutely gives a different color once applied to the cheeks. it doesnt appear purple on the skin depending on the skin tone. I have a warmer skin tone and I love how it compliments my skin tone & it definitely look much more gorgeous on a cooler skin tone

CUTiE EYESHADOW QUAD: MOSHI MOSHI, GOODY GOODY GUM DROP, BOYCRAZY, AZUKI BEAN
GRADE: B
These eyeshadows I was still kind of disappointed, the color pay off wasn't as great as the "OLD" MAC use to be. You really need to use a white cream base or a colored base to get a good color pay off. you have to use a lot of product to see the shade of the eyeshadow. Theres a lot of fall out from the shadows. it could be because they are shimmer velux pearl type shadows. My Favorite from the quad is MOSHI MOSHI which is the one in the top right corner.

NAIL LACQUERS: LITTLE GIRL TYPE, ICE CREAM CAKE, MISCHIEVOUS MINT
GRADE: A-
Besides the names being absolutely adorable, these polishes were just as any MAC polishes. all though they are very much pastel and bright colors, they were still kinda hard to work with. they left streaks in some spots and thickened up pretty quickly. Besides that they are very adorable but u have to out a base coat and almost let each coat dry completely in between layers. My Favorite has to be Ice Cream Cake.

LIPSTICK: CANDY YUM YUM & PLAYING KOI
GRADE: A+
I much rather love the 2 lipsticks. they are matte shades and are very true to color. The way they look in the tube, then swatched and then applied to your lips they look and stay true to color. I would very much say that CANDY YUM YUM is a very vibrant bold hot pink, a lot like girl about town, or show orchid and also OCC's Lip Tar Anime. The Playing Koi shade is a peachy nude tone. very comparable to about 2 lip tars from OCC i cant really think off the top of my head the names. either way, these other then Sakura Blush have to be my favorite from the entire collection.

All in all i would rate this collection an 8 on a scale from 1-10. only because the eyeshadow quad i feel really let me down in the case of being really hard to work with and color pay off not being as true to color once worn or swatched.

thank you so much and hope you enjoyed my review and swatches! please feel free to suggest any products you are interested in hearing a review for
